For many years, this area has earned a reputation for producing exceptional coffees, including some of the world’s most sought-after micro lots. Its high elevation (reaching up to 2,200 meters in some areas), fertile soil, consistent rainfall, and deep local expertise all contribute to the prestigious standing of Yirgacheffe coffee. The local indigenous Heirloom varieties—naturally grown wild in Ethiopia—are responsible for the distinct and refined flavors that set these coffees apart. Undergone anerobic natural process, the beans develop rich, jammy notes of fruitiness, interwoven with floral aromas and a creamy, velvety body.
